Sustainable Energy Research Laboratory of Texas A&M University at Qatar has an immediate opening for post doctoral students to work on zero-emission hydrogen production using concentrated solar energy.

 

Required profile: Ph.D. in Mechanical / Chemical / Aerospace Engineering. Solid background in thermal sciences and math, highly motivated team player, fluent in English with good writing skills.

 

Responsibilities: Research and development in the field of high-temperature solar chemical technology, modeling, design, and testing of solar thermochemical reactors and processes, publication in refereed journals. Particular focus of the open positions will be on the development of massively parallel large eddy CFD (Computational Fluid Dynamics) simulations of two-phase flow dynamics for various solar reactor geometries, and heat transfer modeling.
