RESEARCH INTERESTS:

My research interests are in the areas of cooperative wireless communications, relaying, wireless and sensor networks, MIMO/OFDM systems, optimization, resource allocation, and advanced signal processing techniques.

EXTRA-CURRICULAR AND VOLUNTEER EXPERIENCE:

Organized a weekly seminar series for the department of electical and computer engineering, Texas A&M University at Qatar, Feb. 2009 to May 2009.
Elected as the president of the Egyptian Student Association (ESA) at McMaster University, May 2004 to May 2006.
Senior advisor for the ESA since May 2006 to present.
Selected to sit on the McMaster University Departmental Chair Selection Committee (Electrical and Computer Engineering department) as graduate students representative (2007/2008).
Currently, vice president finance of the Muslim Association of Canada (Hamilton Chapter), a not-for-profit organization.
Organized a java training course for graduate students in the engineering department, summer 2007, McMaster University, Canada.
Participated in organizing the Nineteenth IEEE National Radio Science Conference (NRSC 2002), March 2002, Alexandria, Egypt.
